On Saturday, 3rd January 2026, the first Executive Council of the USET Students’ Union proudly hosted the inaugural USET Inter-Campus Cultural Show—a landmark event that united six campuses from six different communities under one roof.
For the first time in USET’s history, students from Kanifing, Ndemban, Jullangel, Brikama, Mansa Konko, and Kanilai came together to celebrate culture, diversity, and unity. Watching students connect, cheer for one another, laugh together, and proudly showcase the rich ethnic heritage of The Gambia was truly inspiring.
The competition was vibrant and engaging, filled with joy, laughter, and positive energy. More than just performances, it fostered bonds, friendships, and a deep sense of belonging among students who had never before shared a common space.
The journey to this day was not without challenges. Preparation demanded lessons, sacrifices, and long hours of hard work—but the outcome proved that unity, teamwork, and determination always triumph. I am deeply proud of my team for making this vision a reality.
This event was more than a cultural show; it was a powerful statement of unity and a reminder of what we can achieve when we stand together as one student body.
Thank you to everyone whose dedication and support turned this dream into history.
