The USET community is driven by a shared purpose:

To make a better Gambia and the region through scientific discovery and engineering advancements (CoSE), cutting-edge technical education and skills development (IoT), and fostering entrepreneurship and innovation for economic growth (IIE).

The Gambia University of Applied Science, Engineering, and Technology (USET) is a leading institution in The Gambia, dedicated to fostering innovation, technical excellence, and entrepreneurship. Established in 2020 as an evolution of the Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI), USET builds on a rich legacy of over four decades in technical and vocational education.

USET is structured into three main institutes:

College of Science and Engineering (CoSE): Offering degree of Science programmes in Civil, Electrical/Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering.
Institute of Technology (IoT): Providing non-degree courses in various Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) disciplines.
Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE): Delivering professional and innovation-driven courses to nurture entrepreneurial mindsets.

The university also operates several outreach centers across The Gambia, including the N’Demban Skill Training Center, Kanilai Training Center, Mansakonko Training Center, and Julangel Training Center. These centers extend USET’s mission to promote skill development and vocational training nationwide.

With a focus on hands-on, competency-based education, USET equips students with the technical skills and entrepreneurial mindset needed to drive innovation and economic growth. The institution boasts modern facilities, strong industry partnerships, and a commitment to academic excellence, making it a hub for technical and engineering education in Sub-Saharan Africa.
